Schocken Architects, Ltd. is headed by Hillel Schocken who has been in private practice since 1978.

We believe that good building results from team work -- first and foremost between the architect and his client.
We attach special importance to reviewing clients' needs and to developing special solutions for particular requirements.

An important basis for all design is budget. We see that sticking to the client's budget and to the project team's work schedule together determine clear criteria for architectural decisions throughout the building process.

Our firm brings to each project a wide range of architectural experience. We have designed residential projects, both multiple dwellings and private homes; new neighborhoods at the city-planning scale; high-rise offices; hotels; museums; schools; cultural centers; industrial buildings; interiors; restoration and preservation projects; public parks; and more... Yet we begin every project with a consideration of its uniqueness, in order better to grasp the best architectural solution.

Within the office, our architects use to the fullest extent computer and communication technology. For more than 13 years, all work has been drafted exclusively with the latest CADD tools available; and with our T1 connection to the Internet, our office makes full use of every electronic means with which to collaborate with consultants, service studios, and with our own clients. Drafting and modeling tools include AutoCAD v14, 3D Studio, and Photoshop. Office tools include the entire Microsoft Office suite: Word, Schedule+, Excel, &c. Additional local software affords accurate job costing services and specification writing.
